My Life As An Astronomer

So  here I sit  11:34 pm at my imac in my pajamas , white sweatshirt and fuzzy blue warm but silly socks , listening to Coast to Coast  typing out my   work  as an astronomer. Well my professional credentials anyways. People are always interested in what I do as an astronomer. I get questions about it daily so here it comes. I have put a link  to the places  where I work for fun.

I am a proud graduate of George Mason University  with double honors  in Astro Physics. honor meaning ' honor student ' . One in Comets and the other in Solar Physics. My main work is in being a comet detective. I do cometary  tracking  and report them . I am a proud member  of the  Mcdonald's Observatory  Sky Watch Team. Sky-watching from  my area for them. My first astronomy job ! Also  Work for Solar System Dynamics Group . Also I work for the Space Environment Center monitoring and reporting our sun daily, At Home I do my work from SolarMonitor.   I get questions alot ..ALOT .. on how can someone help monitor the sun  . Alot of high school people are interested  so just ask me.

Also my new branch of work is helping backyard astronomers report discoveries. I got that going myself when I was asked the question..

"I think I discovered a new crater on the Moon , now what ? "

So I emailed Nasa and a few others and so I have contacts now. If you think you made one .. take pictures if you can or sketches from the eyepiece  and  co-ordinates . I may be able to help depending on my contacts and if i need to i'll go all the way to get others to examine it.
